Night Guard’s Final Night
Five Nights at Freddy’s was originally a game made in 2014 by Scott Cawthon. FNAF (Five Nights at Freddy’s) is a game where you must survive five nights at the Freddy’s Fazbear’s Pizza while trying to avoid getting caught and killed by the animatronics that roam the restaurant while monitoring the security cameras figuring out what they are up to.
The new movie being produced will be following this storyline. There will be a screenplay created by the original game producer Scott Cawthon. There is no release date yet, but filming began this February. A FNAF movie was supposed to be produced in 2015 by Warner Bros, who had acquired the rights to develop a FNAF movie. After being passed through several filmmakers the horror movie was delayed.
The Lore
With a long lore and story line, FNAF follows children that had gone missing at Freddys Fazbear’s Pizza in the 1980s. William Afton is the main antagonist of FNAF. Presumably, he was the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment and the partner of Henry Emily. He had helped Henry into establishing the pizza joint while Henry had built the animatronic mascots for the pizzerias.
Even though Afton was a successful businessman, he had a double life as a serial killer that preyed on children across several Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza locations, which had included Henry’s own daughter Charlotte. Later in 1993 after making a mistake of destroying the classic animatronics and accidentally freeing the lost souls of his victims. Afton made an attempt to protect himself with an animatronic suit. However the spring lock mechanism failed, crushing and stabbing him to death.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise was then born.
Conclusion
FNAF has many fans and famous youtubers that love Five Nights at Freddys. This includes Markiplier, DanDTM, 8bitRyan, and other youtubers who have played since it came out. There are 5-7 games made by Scott while the rest have been made into real FNAF games but by different developers and publishers.
I’m excited to see how this movie gets played out. If it plays out how it does in the games that would be interesting but it would be better if it included the gameplay and the lore. I feel like the lore has more of a story than the actual game. Right off the bat, if someone were to play it and knew nothing about FNAF, they wouldn’t really get the whole story.
The game is 9 years old, they have to make it right. There’s people such as myself that have been waiting for this moment. It can’t be messed up.
