Taylor has just announced that the Eras world Tour will be recorded and be played in theaters. Upon the announcement it was a surprise to no one that she broke the internet yet again.
The movie will be in theaters October 13th, Taylors favorite number and the day she was born. Another movie that was originally supposed to be dropped in October; Friday the thirteenth was Blum houses The Exorcist. The Exorcist team felt the spooky date would be perfect day for the new horror movie and since both movies were scheduled on the same day, they even became a hashtag together. Fans referred to it as the next Barbenheimer, “Excorswift” was its name. Since the success of the Eras movie just in their opening 24 hours the Exorcist film makers bowed out and changed their release date to the sixth of October. Jason Blum, the head of Blum house studios tweeted “Look what you made me to” an iconic swift lyric and announced its changed date with the hashtag #TaylorWins.
It’s not just this, the pure power of Taylor and her fans continue to go unmatched. Because of how huge this movie has become it is breaking records. Within less than 24 hours of the presales on the ticket apps the websites were crashing because of the sheer amount of Swifties that demanded tickets. The Eras Tour movie managed to surpass Avengers Endgame, The Force Awakens and probably the most incredible Spiderman No Way Home. Taylor now obtains the spot of the most single day advance ticket sale revenue at AMC theaters with $26 million. The record was previously held but Spiderman No Way Home at 16.9 million. It took the Eras tour less than 12 hours to beat spiderman. In addition to the broken records AMC also added 15 more shows within the first days. It is also expected that the opening weekend of the Eras Tour movie is expected to make 10 million+ on its opening weekend.
Taylor remains a mastermind to her fans. If you look into everything that Taylor has done, she leaves clues and easter eggs for her fans. A little one that corelates with the movie is her selling her tickets, for the adults it’s $19.89 and for the children the tickets are $13.13. 1989 being the year she was born and the name of one of her albums and 13 being her favorite number and her birthday. Taylor is unstoppable and at this ongoing rate there is no chance she is slowing down any time soon, not that any of her fans would want her too.
