After so many years, a movie has been made about Priscilla Presley, Elvis Presley’s wife. This movie is important for Priscilla and many others, because it finally shows her side of the story throughout her relationship with Elvis. The movie shows the apparent abuse and grooming towards Priscilla from Elvis. While some people believe this is not the case, the movie is based on everything written in Priscilla’s own book.
After seeing the movie, I can say it was definitely a unique idea for a film, although I had some issues with the storyline and the production. First of all, the storyline of the movie simply felt weirdly executed. At certain points, I would feel confused because it would jump from one thing to another so fast and with 0 context. If anything, be prepared to feel like your watching scenes compiled together instead of an actual movie. It also felt like the production was kind of low quality, mostly the editing of the movie. Some of the cuts from one scene to another would look weird and different editing mistakes were obvious. On the bright side, I do believe things such as the casting, wardrobe, acting, and scripts were on point and very pleasant. Cailee Spaeny did a wonderful job displaying her emotions and her acting was very enjoyable to watch. Not to mention, Jacob Elordi, in my opinion, was a great fit for Elvis. Others don’t seem to think so though. After interviewing Connie Delgado, a freshman who watched the movie the day it was released, she disagreed. “I thought that Jacob looked nothing like Elvis, no resemblance at all. Yeah, his acting was nice, but he didn’t display him as well as Austin Butler, who played him in the 2022 Elvis movie.”
Whether it was a good quality movie or not, I think it deserved to be put on the big screen. It was a very inspiring and heavy-hearted story that should take people’s opinions of Elvis into more consideration. I also love how it shows society that sometimes these celebrities are not all as good as they are made out to be. Many people are actually going against the movie in general and are attacking director Sofia Coppola, claiming she is making Elvis look like an evil man and a villain. I don’t believe this is the case. The proof was always in the pudding, it’s a known fact Priscilla and Elvis started having relations at the ages of 14 and 24. She is simply going from the book to let the world realize that no one reckons with the fact Elvis was to some extent, a groomer and abuser.
People will always have mixed opinions on the newly come movie “Priscilla.” Although, at the end of the day, it comes across to be a very impactful movie that people across the nation are going to watch. So, even though the movie production may seem a bit odd, I recommend going and watching Priscilla.

Elvis is gone. He can’t defend himself. Unfair to attack him now.
