Now, this is not the Roman Empire you learn about in school where the Romans ruled Europe and had the greatest empire. Today, the Roman Empire is used as slang for something that someone constantly thinks about. This can be related to the actual Roman Empire because just like how the romans ruled a part of the world, your Roman Empire rules your mind
The birth of this trend is somewhat random. All this became a thing when a girl asked a boy how often he thinks about the actual Roman Empire and he answered quite often. People then started to post their own Roman Empires all over TikTok.

“My Roman Empire is most definitely my summer going into eighth grade or summer 2023 because so much happened in my life in those months,” said eighth grader Eva Ramos.
“My Roman Empire is Dancing with the Stars,” said freshman Charlee Goldstein.
“James Charles inventing the pink drink is my Roman Empire,” said junior Madi Reed.
Many teachers were asked what their Roman Empire was. This had some teachers questioning what they were being asked and some knew just what they were being asked.
“My Roman Empire is shopping. I’m always thinking about Amazon or buying clothes for my niece,” said Ms. Pottruck.
“My Roman Empire is my fiance Kathryn,” said French teacher Mr. Jacques.
