Year after year, the landscape of education has gone through some serious transformations. From using regular old chalk boards and mostly all paper based assignments, to now using digital smart boards and technology with ipads and computers. With the upgrade of technology year by year, new whiteboards, laptops, and digital resources have become more normalized and come standard in almost every school in the United States.
The main focus on standardized testing has evolved in different forms and directions in the educational environment, influencing new teaching methods. People who attended school would have a big reflection on this, arguing and commenting that this shift has created a stressful atmosphere for both students and educators, limiting the exploration of natural born creativity and critical thinking.
In recent years, there has been a growing situation in schools exploring newer teaching ways to cater to students’ attention. Understanding that recognizing that each student is unique in their strengths and challenges can be important to how schools would teach these students back in the day.
The Covid-19 pandemic was very serious and almost made things so much harder for these students to learn. If technology wasn’t so advanced, how would we learn and adapt to school when the pandemic was around? Things would be so much different, complicated, and reformed. The evolution of schools over the years reflects social changes and new technological achievements. There have been positive strides towards more interactive and personalized learning environments, obstacles such as standardized testing and environmental learning. We look to the future, realizing that education prepares students for the complexions of the modern world.
Making many more differences to impact the tuition of learning can help schools grow the correct way and not make things so complicated. Some people think back to when we were younger, waking up on a Monday. We would be happy and excited to go. Happy to see our friends. Communicate with the teachers we love. Nowadays, it’s much more “annoying” and tiring. We aren’t so happy and are mentally drained from the school system evolving and getting worse over time. Some people think they would rather have school how it was in the 1990’s versus how school is now.
