As the school year is coming to an end, our seniors got the opportunity to celebrate their last year of high school, with their friends, and classmates.
On Friday April, 12 our seniors went to their Grad Bash Field Trip, where they spent their time on Universal Island of Adventures, and Universal Studios. They got the access to enjoy the roller coasters, the foods, and some live music around the park.
This was a great experience for seniors as they spend a day laughing, running, and having fun like they are kids once again, before they go off with their lives and continue with their careers.
Lissette Torres, rates her experience a “9/10 because the food was horrible except that one turkey leg I ate was amazing.” Senior Ty Mainardi says the same since his favorite food was the turkey leg.
Lissette also adds that her favorite experience was “walking around the park at night with my friends and getting the highest score beating everyone in men in black.”
Suzette Smith says that her experience was “really fun. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and meeting new people from other schools.”
Universal Studios, and Universal Island of Adventure are known for their thrilling roller coasters, the slow ones, the speedy ones, the old ones, and the new ones. Our seniors enjoyed trending them but had their own favorites.
Suzette Smith says that “the Spider-Man simulator was my favorite ride because my friends were shocked at how fun it was and it surprised me too” (The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man). In this simulator you get the experience of going through an adventure with Spider-Man, in 4D, as he confronts and defeats villains such as Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, and more. Spider-Man’s mission is to capture the villains who are roaming around the city from the lowest places to the highest buildings, and keep his guests safe throughout the journey.
Ty Mainardi’s favorite ride is the VelociCoaster, a fast roller coaster that goes up to 70 miles per hour, based on the story of Jurassic Park. Lissette Torres says that VelociCoaster was also her favorite ride because “it was the strongest ride there and I love the trill it gave me and I went on it during the night so it all lift up blue”
Riley Strobis states that her favorite ride was “the jurassic park water ride” (Jurassic Park River Adventure). In this ride you start on a slow ride though a river on a boat, looking at the trees and nature, having dinosaurs pooping out on the water or on the sides, then suddenly the boat enters a dark building with very little lights, showing chemicals, and scientific machines just like in the movies, then theres a drop and water splashes everywhere.
Riley Strobis also adds that her favorite memory was “laughing at how soaked my friends and I got on the Jurassic Park ride, especially my friends who had sunscreen running down her face.”
Suzette Smith’s favorite memory was “probably the fact that some rides were not as chill as I remember.” While Ty Mainardi had a great time “hanging out with the boys and the simpson land”
A lot of our seniors also had fun memories while listening and dancing to the Live music that was provided by a DJ. Lissette Torres said that her favorite memory was “dancing with my friends in the mosh pit next to riptide rockets with all the other schools.”
All of our seniors that attended the trip enjoyed it, from the ride to the parks till the ride back home.
