Dear Panthers,
Welcome back to the Panthers Playbook! This week, we’re bringing you closer to the action with statistics about our athletes’ dedication and the spirit of competition. In this episode, we will explore the football, golf, and bowling teams.
Starting with football: On October 25th, our football panthers had a wonderful win against Stoneman Douglas, 26-6. On this beautiful sunset night, the football team celebrated their senior night and their last game of the season.
Next, the Panthers will battle Umatilla on Friday, November 1st, in their first district playoff game.
Next up, the bowling team: Congratulations to the girls for winning second place in districts. The boys, a young and talented team, fought hard and placed 11th. Good luck to our bowlers who thanks to these wonderful placements, will be going to Orlando from Tuesday, October 29th through Thursday, October 31st to fight for states.
Moving on the golf team: On Monday, October 21st the girls were invited to the BCAA Invitational. This year only three girls participated and played for 18 holes. Junior Natalia Conte shot 87, eighth-grader Leah Costa shot 96, and sophomore Izzy Goodman shot 102.
Florida weather continues to be a major barrier for the players as it canceled the girl’s match versus Stoneman Douglas, on Tuesday, October 22nd.
However, on Wednesday, October 23, both the girls and boys were able to play their last match of the season. They celebrated senior night and played against Westminster Academy.
Congratulations to our following senior boys, Brandon Moll who shot 49, Jaxson Goldstein who shot 48, Floyd Harris who shot 50, and Senior Axel Foley who shot 53.
On the girl’s side, Junior Natalia Conte shot 50, Sophomore Izzy Goodman shot 55, and Eighth-grader Leah Costa shot 50.
The golf team will be working hard for their next game, the first round of districts at Boca Lago on Monday, October 28th.
