Soccer season has just begun, and a new season full of intense practices and hard work awaits the players. With new Freshmen joining the team and former players working hard on their game outside of school and throughout the summer, the future of the team is looking bright. These players will continue to train and improve throughout the season through the school’s practices and hope to perform at an even higher level than when they joined the team.
With the season starting, and the soccer team putting in hours of structured hard work during school practices, will lead them to improve on all aspects of their game. Throughout the season, the team will be doing many exercises and drills to compete at their peak performance during the games.
“The coach will make us do a lot of conditioning to help us be fit and get more active. This means a lot of short-distance sprints through the width of the field and a lot of long-distance running around the field. We will also be doing drills to replicate in-game scenarios, making us more prepared and helping us tidy up the errors,” stated Sophomore Alejandro Ruiz when asked what type of training the players will go through while at school practices. These practices will help refine their skills and help them get even stronger as a team.
Through the hours of hard work the team is putting in during practices and on their own outside of school, the team is looking forward to many things this season. Sophomore Thomas Givens states, “I am looking forward to intense games, fun memories with the coach and my teammates, and the bus rides for away games.” This season is going to be filled with fun memories for the team and even better experiences during games.
“I personally have full faith in our team doing better and performing well this season and know that the lord will guide us to the right direction,” states sophomore Matthew Baptiste when asked how they think they will do this season. The team overall has confidence in their level from all the hours of hard work, and discipline they have put in both on and off the field, and they believe that this will be a successful season.
The team is looking great this year and will continue to improve through the work they are putting into every one of their games throughout this season. The team has high hopes and expectations for themselves this season and hopes to overcome any challenge in their path. A season of fun experiences and excellent performances awaits them.
