As a current student at Charter, many students including myself are angry and upset with the way that the game websites are being blocked left and right. The reason it happens is because the administrators and teachers at Charter think that we are not doing work and just playing games all class long. This is because they have the ability to view our screens via Ipad, and can see what we are doing live. This enables them to see the website, and report it to admin, and they get it banned the next day.
First and foremost, the students here at charter are growing more and more upset at the fact that the administrators keep banning the gaming websites. This makes students annoyed, because when they are done with their work, they have something fun to do until the teacher instructs them to move on with the lesson. We instead then have to sit and wait until the teacher moves on. This means that students would try to talk and socialize with each other, but just end up getting yelled at by the teacher because they are disrupting the other students.
Moreover, students at Charter are getting even more irritated because when they finally find a new website that isnt blocked, someone gets caught using it when they aren’t supposed to, and then the teacher tells administration, and then they ban the site. Also, by having gaming websites blocked, students are using proxies which is a server that provides a gateway between the user and the internet. For example, a student using a proxy allows students to visit these banned websites. This goes to show that students will keep finding new and interesting ways to keep playing their games!
In conclusion, Charter really isn’t playing games this year. The admin at Charter have really been cracking down on the available gaming websites that the students have been using during their free time. While the admin may finally reach the end, finally banning all of the websites, students will keep protesting for it to stop by finding new ways to play.
