Dash Waterman has been at Coral Springs Charter since sixth grade. He is a dual-sport athlete, playing soccer and football with exceptional skills in both. Dash has been playing soccer since he was a little kid, he has taken part in recreational, travel, and school teams.
His impressive ball handling skills, powerful legs, speed, and natural talent has developed him into an amazing striker. This role not only requires speed and strength but also IQ and field positioning. His devotion to the game is like no other and is a key reason why he is so great. Last year dash started playing football where his skills from soccer translated over, he played wide receiver, kicker, and punter.
As a freshman, Dash continues to play football. He is on the Varsity team and his performance has been nothing short of stellar. He has converted 14 out of the 16 field goals. He demonstrates impressive accuracy, consistent performance under pressure, and the ability to kick distances of over 40 yards. Additionally, he also has three career touchbacks due to his strong legs from playing soccer. The team went 4-6 this year with an emotional loss in the playoffs.
Despite his success, his primary sport remains to be soccer. He made the varsity team this year also being one of four freshmen. Dash said, “I have always played soccer and I will continue to until I stop liking it or have a good opportunity in another sport like football.”
This year, the varsity team is 1-4, and they are improving quickly, winning a game on November 15 against Calvary Christian Academy. The team has many more games to play and they hope to finish the season strong. Dash’s dedication to both sports shows his passion, discipline, and ambition to CSC sports.
