The generation of today,
Filled with the sounds of hysterical laughter and radiant glee,
With exulted adolescents pouring into schools globally,
Has an undeniable secret that it refuses to release.
There seems to be many overlaps in what,
Or otherwise,
These students seek to expect from themselves,
Based on their views of their own self image sculpted by the perspectives of others.
Why would there be such a demand to be judged by the judgers,
Judgers who, in an outwardly appearance,
Never once find it in their hearts to care about themselves?
As young students,
We know how truly unhealthy it is to consider ourselves the ‘center of the universe,’
Devoid of the humble standpoint we each strive for.
What is it that we are trying to achieve?
To waste our time and mind trying to give ourselves a better look for the temporary?
Such temporary woes are exactly what causes us to stray away from the permanent.
The same permanence that will persist even past the boundaries of what we called home.
To think that our people are so impressionable,
That they base their self-worth on what their own kind thinks,
Each of whom have their own problems and woes,
That supersede the subconscious mind.
And yet, in the array of silent judgments,
It seems people take that silence for granted,
As they’re only silent because they solely exist in the head of the one who cares too often,
And too many times have they been the one to fall the hardest,
In this game we call life.
