Softball is an amazing sport beloved by many. It is similar to baseball although girls play softball and guys play baseball. Many girls grow up wanting to play softball for a big league or go D1 since it has been their dream since they were little girls. This 2024-2025 school year, the school has successfully sent four senior softball girls to a specific college that they were able to get into on a full ride.
These senior girls were Sophia Bertorelli, Heather Robertson, Addison Michel and Mia Rodríguez. They were able to sign to their dream college. They are all extremely proud of themselves and all the hard work they put in to get where they are.
Some of the girls were able to say a couple things to show their appreciation to these colleges that gave them a full ride and the preparation they went through in order to accomplish the scholarship. The first person to say something on their full ride is Addison Michel, a senior who plays second base. Addison was able to sign to Boston University. Addison had stated that she was looking into a bunch of different options for colleges but she did see Boston University as one of her top options due to the culture, city, and the campus. She had also stated that she had been playing travel softball since she was a little girl and she was able to keep persevering with determination. Addison was able to go to camps in Boston and she was able to meet the coaches and they were able to take a good look at her and her abilities. Overall, Addison is really excited to go to Boston University and she can’t wait to make a great addition to the team and grow with her team.
Another student Mia Rodríguez who plays outfield stated their views on getting a full ride to the college Barry University. Mia had gone through a long process which included working really hard and pushing through hard times as well as being able to communicate with her coaches. She was also able to attend some camps where college coaches were able to take a look at her and see her ability. She was very happy with her decision to sign here because although at first, she was looking into very big colleges but then came to a realization that she wanted to stay close to home.
Overall, all these girls were able to achieve their dreams through dedication and hard work. Although Paw Print was unable to get a hold of Sophia Bertorelli and Heather Robertson we know that they are extremely happy about their signing and are extremely proud of themselves. All these girls did such a great job and everyone is so proud of everything they have achieved.
