Dear Panthers,
Welcome to the first 2025 issue of the Panthers Playbook This week, we’re bringing you closer to the action as the season starts coming to an end, with stories about our athletes’ dedication and the spirit of competition.
Starting with the soccer team: On Tuesday, January 7th, the varsity boys played their last home game against Pompano where they acquired a wonderful win of 2-1. Meanwhile, the girls’ varsity team traveled to Pompano, securing a victorious 4-1 victory.
On Wednesday, January 8th, the girls’ varsity team hosted NSU University for a match. Their hard work and dedication paid off, and they tied against NSU University, 0-0.
On Friday, January 10th, the girls’ and boys’ varsity teams traveled to Western. The boys faced a difficult challenge and lost 0-3. While the girls dominated their match, and secured a 5-0 win.
Next up, the basketball team: On Tuesday, January 7th, both the boys varsity, JV, and girls varsity teams hosted a game against Monarch. Both varsity teams worked hard and came away with an impressive victory. The boys played a tough match and finished 43-42. Meanwhile, the girls finished with a bigger gap on their score of 62-13. The JV boys weren’t so lucky as they were defeated 27-59.
On Wednesday, January 8th, the girls traveled to FAU High’s territory and came back home with a victorious win of 56-45. The JV boys hosted a match against Chaminade-Madonna as they stepped up their game with a close but victorious 34-31 win
On Thursday, January 9th, both teams traveled to Chaminade-Madonna. The boys fought hard but lost their game, 49-72. On the other hand, the girls put on an impressive performance winning 69-32.
On Friday, January 10th both varsity and JV boys traveled to play against Benjamin. The JV boys worked their hardest through this hard match but were defeated 26-29.
