Mind Over Matter
Eat
Work
Sleep
The schedule is packed
My mind is full
I have a strict routine that I must follow
But I know what I’m doing
Eat
Work
Sleep
Even when the work becomes impending
And when my strength is weary
I push forward and remind myself that
“The work isn’t work when you’re doing what you love”
Eat
Work
Sleep
With a goal insight
I must push through
I know what I am
And who I want to be
And I will keep working till I get there
Eat
Work
Persevere
The need never stops
Even when I need to
The need to rest
Constantly in conflict with the need to create
Eat
Work
Stress
My passion will never die
Even if my body does
I want my work to live on
Even when I do not
Eat
Work
Doubt
How will I find the time
The days seem too short
When mine seem to never end
Will my passion be enough to get me through
Am I enough
Eat
Work
Stop
Why am I doing this
I can’t do it all and do it well
What’s the point
Eat
Work
See
I stop and take a step back
And remember that I’m doing this because I love what I do
Eat
Work
Rest
Take a breath
Take a break
And dive back in
