As we look ahead into 2025, the film industry has set up an exciting array of movies for us to anticipate watching as the year goes on. All these movies are set to fascinate every type of audience around the world. There are many new movies, sequels and even some live action versions of the movies we love most. All the movies are of all different genres including action, sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, and many more.
Marvel fans are excited and ready for Captain America: A Brave New World. This new marvel movie is set to be released on February 14th, and it will star a new Captain America which will be played by Anthony Mackie. The movie is based on the main character Sam, finding himself in the middle of an international incident after meeting with the President Thaddeus Ross. Sam must soon discover the main reason behind a villainous global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.
For the Disney lovers there’s been a heavily anticipated live action theory a very loved movie, Lilo and Stitch. This live action movie has been in the making process for about a year and seven months. Maia Kealoha gets the pleasure of playing Lilo in this movie while Sydney Agudong gets to play Nani, Lilo’s older sister. As they couldn’t recreate or replace the reputable voice of Chris Sanders which was the voice of Stitch in the original Disney movie, they kept him playing the voice of this cute and loved blue four armed creature. For this movie Disney has a mix of familiar and fresh-faced actors to play the roles in this live action for their beloved characters of the movie.
As the series of How to train your dragon came to an end around 2019 with the final movie of the series being, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, However a new live action version of the original movie was announced in February of 2023. This movie has been in the process for about almost 2 whole years. As actor Mason Thames gets to play the main character Hiccup, his co-star Nico Parker has the pleasure of playing Astrid. This movie will be the first Dreamworks production film to be turned into a live action, and many people are here for it.
A classic movie that will be making its return to the screen in The Jurassic World series, is the upcoming new movie, Jurassic World Rebirth. This movie has been in the filming process since June of 2024 and is set to be released on July 2nd. Although there are some new actors that haven’t been in this series yet, many people are excited to see what they are able to bring to the new movie and what it’ll be like with some of these new actors. Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett while her other co-star Jonathan Bailey plays Dr.Henry Loomis. This movie is set to be a thrilling prehistoric journey which is set roughly five years after the Jurassic World Dominion. This movie is supposedly stepping up the excitement from the other movies with an expedition into remote, equatorial regions where a daring team aims to extract DNA from three main colossal prehistoric creatures.
In the end, all these movies coming out this year won’t only entertain, but they’re set to spark conversation and excitement throughout all theaters.
