Finally, after nearly 6 years, the highly anticipated Universal Epic Universe is set to open its gates on May 22, 2025, promising to redefine the theme park experience. This brand new addition to Universal Orlando Resort is poised to transport guests into immersive worlds beyond their wildest imaginations.
Construction started in August of 2019, but was put on a halt in July 2020, right after the Covid 19 pandemic started. Construction finally picked up around March of 2021, though guests were disappointed and thought that Universal Studios might have scrapped the whole idea of Universal Epic Universe. After the long and awaited nearly 6 years, Universal is proud to announce the opening of Universal Epic Universe in nearly a month.
Epic Universe is designed around the concept of “worlds,” each offering distinct and immersive experiences. Here’s a glimpse into what awaits:
Celestial Park: This central hub acts as a gateway to the other worlds, featuring beautiful gardens, water features, and attractions like the “Stardust Racers” dueling roller coaster.

How to Train Your Dragon—Isle of Berk: This land will bring the fantastical world of dragons to life, with attractions that allow guests to soar alongside these majestic creatures.
