Every senior around Florida waits for the time of year to go to a long awaited event known as Grad Bash. Grad Bash is a graduation celebration that's held in one of Orlando's theme parks, Universal Studios, near the end of the school year. The students from different schools in Florida stay at Universal until 2 in the morning, and have access to all of the parks, including Universal Studios and Island of Adventure.
Last week Friday, April 11, our senior panthers went to Grad bash and had the time of their lives. “My favorite part of Grad Bash was probably the Velocicoaster ride, just like waiting in line and playing games with my friends in line was fun.” said senior Jaide Keen. Other seniors liked that they were able to communicate from other schools and meet new people. Senior Carson Dudich said,”My favorite part was definitely going on Hulk, we got to skip the line because people in front of us were skipping so we got to go to the front.” But Grad bash could be an expensive trip to go on. “It’s worth the price if you do get to stay the whole time.” senior Marisia Micioni said. There were some mishaps to this “perfect” night.
The buses this year for Grad bash were said to get separated and took different ways. “Our bus driver went to the wrong entrance.” senior Jaide Keen said. This did make the night seem shorter for some seniors. With what Marisia Micioni said, since their buses got separated, they weren’t able to stay at Grad bash as long as the other school.
There is also some debate on whether Grad bash is too expensive or not. “I feel like the price should be lowered a bit, but U understand why it’s that high, I think it’s worth it though, the experience is worth having because it’s a once in a lifetime thing, but I do think it should be lowered because since there’s so many students from other schools, you’re barely to go in any rides.” Senior Jaide Keen said. But, there are other students who think otherwise. “It is kind of expensive, but overall for the experience it’s worth it to just be with your friends.” senior Carson Dudich said.
Even though our senior panthers dealt with these hardships, they still overcame it and didn’t let it ruin their once in a lifetime night. “Besides that, everything was good.” senior Jaide Keen said.
