Oh summer dearest, far are you.
For now I slack in somber blues.
These studies my mind does consume.
Relentlessly in testing gloom.
They throw their papers and their stacks.
It lands atop a table Clack!
How is it that I’ve only a week.
Till my life turns even more bleak.
Oh save me from my studious fate.
There's far too much sitting on my plate.
My eyes grow weary from all the reading.
The note taking and luck pleading.
The sun waits so pleasantly.
For me to finish this terrible testing.
It calls for me to take a break.
To bask in gloriful light rays.
To sink my toes in tepid sand.
A crimson colored drink in hand.
To watch a wicked wave drift by.
The darkest shade of a sky blue sky.
Oh summer dearest rescue me from this tragedy.
These classrooms have grown so melancholy.
Oh summer dearest steal me away.
To paradise and ever-lasting golden days.
