This past week at Coral Springs Charter School, administration, students, and parents celebrated teacher appreciation week with gifts and numerous meals.
On Monday, May 5th, the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSO) paid homage to Cinco de Mayo with a spread of Mexican food from El Mariachi.
On Tuesday, May 6th, administration sponsored a locally-owned food truck called TMI Food Truck, which served creative sliders and mini donuts. According to Principal Jodi Robins, the cuisine received “rave review from everyone!”
On Wednesday, May 7th, PTSO once again decided to feed the teachers that make Charter a better place! The parent-run organization created a dessert bar with chocolate fondue, fruit, cake, pretzels, Rice Krispy Treats, and more.
On Thursday, there was a “hydration station” in the teachers’ lounge from 360 Degrees Nutrition, along with Publix subs and wraps for lunch from the High School Student Government. Both high school and middle school SGA also partnered to give the teachers gift bags containing a planner and a pen. “We wanted to give the teachers a gift that showed our appreciation but was also something that would be useful to them in the classroom,” said Jordyn Tarshis, who helped put together the gift bags.
To close off the week, Middle School SGA provided the teachers with a breakfast of donuts and coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts to fuel up before FAST testing.
Along with this array of meals, teachers also received cash gifts from PTSO and personalized windbreakers from admin, which were clearly a big hit among teachers, a majority of which have been wearing the jackets around school.
We hope teachers felt extra appreciated this week and hope next year brings more fun surprises!
