The Coral Springs Charter Varsity Baseball team wrapped up their 2025 spring season with a record of 10-13. Competing in 3A District 12, placed fourth in the competitive district. The team-loaded schedule with competitive teams proved quite challenging for the Panthers.
The best hitters include senior Mason Alexander with a .378 batting average & .517 on-base percentage, the strongest hitter on the squad was sophomore Jackson Taylor with 2 home runs, and the fastest player on the team was junior Carter Hayden with 11 stolen bases over the season.
For pitching, the Panthers were led by junior Vincent Campbell, who had the lowest earned run average on the team at 1.45. Senior Julian Spinola, played his position consistently as he was a solid field manager with a .967 fielding percentage.
Freshman Andres Romay says, “This season was a lot of fun and we put in a lot of work this year and it sucks that it's over”.
The Panthers played against a variety of teams, winning against Glades Central 15-0 in a shutout victory and losing to stronger teams like Calvary Christian Academy and Archbishop McCarthy. They had a strong non-district win against Cardinal Gibbons 7-5. They won against Pompano Beach High School 4-3 then lost 6-5 in another game.
Ultimately, on April 15th, they lost in the District Semi-Finals to the American Heritage High School team, 1-5, ending their season. The Coral Springs Charter team may have had the offense and fancy play throughout the season but in the end, the record reflected the difficulty of being in one of the most competitive districts with a competitive schedule. Every game played taught something new for both players and coaches for the future.
