The whimsical world of Wonderland recently came to life on stage, as a talented group of middle schoolers presented their vibrant production of Alice in Wonderland. The classic tale of a girl’s extraordinary adventure was retold with impressive performances, and delightful costumes.
Leading the journey was Willow Pekala, who played the role of Alice. From her first curious tumble down the rabbit hole to her final encounter with the Queen of Hearts, Pekala’s portrayal captured Alice’s wonder and growing exasperation with the nonsensical inhabitants of Wonderland.
The production was a true collaborative effort, both on and off stage. Students transformed into an array of memorable characters, from the mischievous Cheshire Cats, to the frantic White Rabbit, the arguing Tweedles, and the mad Queen of Hearts. Each performer brought their own perspective to the roles, adding layers of humor and charm to the story.

With moments of energy, worry, and happiness, Alice in Wonderland was filled with emotions, and led the roller coaster perfectly. In moments such as when the Mad Hatter breaks the pocket watch, student actors perfectly portrayed their emotions to show the audience.
Behind the scenes, the tech crew was hard at work, with high school students running the lighting and sound for Alice in Wonderland. Their focus and attention to detail made sure every cue hit just right, helping to create the smooth, magical atmosphere that brought Wonderland to life.
