With the start of football season, junior Christian Clinkscale is emerging as a real threat on the field, showcasing the results of his hard work in the offseason. So far, Clinkscale has been putting up impressive numbers, helping his team battle to a 2–2 record against tough competition early in the season. This article will go through the work he has put in to improve his game throughout the offseason, what he is looking forward to this season, along with what he enjoys most about playing at Coral Springs Charters Football team.
With the improvements that Clinkscale has returned to this season with, there is no doubt that the hours were put in both on physical and mental aspects of the game. “I ran track this past year, focused on little mistakes on the field, made some connections with trainers, and learned that football is more mental than physical so I studied the game and mastered how to control myself,” said Clinkscale.
“I’m looking forward to taking advantage of our skill this season and finishing with a record Charter hasn’t seen in a while,” stated Christian. With this being Christian’s junior season he is looking to make big moves and make this an impactful season.
The school team atmosphere is one of the biggest contributing factors to why so many athletes enjoy participating in these sports, according to Clinkscale. “I would say the environment for the most part, it’s a fun and work heavy team making sure everything and everyone is at its best and having to earn everything you have especially at a school where football isn’t really looked at.” This “work heavy” environment that the football team provides is a perfect environment for growth and improvement to take place. Not only that but it is also where many unforgettable memories are created, and great friendships are made.
Clinkscale has been making the most of the present moment and has been showing very promising talent on the field along with polished and dependable skills in tight moments. Although it is early into the season, it looks like a very bright one for Clinkscale.
