Dear Panthers,
It was a competitive and thrilling week for CSC athletics, featuring dramatic comebacks, dominant pool performances, and impressive tournament runs. But most importantly great team connections and great memories as the season ends.
The Panther Varsity Football team (now 5-2) traveled to Northeast on Friday, October 3rd, and came away with a dominant 35-20 victory
The Varsity team started their week on Monday, September 29th, in the highly competitive Big Eight Tournament. They faced Chaminade-Madonna, losing a close 1-2 match (21-25, 25-20, 13-15). Although the loss ended their tournament run, the girls battled fiercely, taking a set.
Athlete Spotlight:
Senior Samantha McMillan was a force at the net and back row, tallying nine kills and nine digs. Junior Olivia Greco directed the offense, recording ten assists alongside four aces from the service line.
On Wednesday, October 1st, the Panthers hosted high-level rival Archbishop McCarthy. The girls played with incredible heart, pushing the match to four sets and even stealing the first set (26-24, 26-28, 19-25, 17-25) before falling 1-3.
The JV Girls’ Volleyball team made a sensational debut at the 2025 South Florida JV Showdown tournament on October 3rd and 4th.
Friday: The team went 2-1 on opening day, winning against West Broward (2-1) and Somerset Academy (2-0), only falling to Cypress Bay (1-2). This impressive performance earned them a spot in the Silver Bracket.
Saturday: The Panthers were unstoppable in the Silver Bracket, sweeping both games. A dominant 2-0 win against Brito (25-4, 25-1) and another 2-0 victory over Somerset Academy (25-10, 25-12). This incredible run culminated in the team winning the Silver Bracket Championship. They placed fifth out of eight teams.
The Golf teams are hitting their stride at the perfect time, maintaining an outstanding overall record of 12-1.
A huge congratulations is due to the program for their phenomenal national ranking: 5th place in the state of Florida and an incredible 10th place in the entire country. These rankings reflect the consistency and excellence of every golfer on the roster. The teams are now eagerly anticipating the BCAA Championship on October 15th and the start of their post-season journey on October 28th.
The Panther swim team delivered a powerful statement on Tuesday, September 30th, competing against Copper City and Coral Springs High. The Girls’ team secured decisive victories against both opponents, and the Boys’ team displayed incredible depth and teamwork by consistently placing on the podium across all events.
