Popstar D4vd: The body found in his car
On September 8th of 2025, a missing person, who was identified as Celeste Rivas, was found dead in the front truck of the Tesla owned by David Anthony Burke, also known as d4vd. According to NBC News, Celeste was last seen on April 5, 2024. At the time, she was 13, but was found dead at the age of 15. On the day she was found, workers at the impound from where the car was had reported a very severe odor coming from the vehicle only to find her body bagged in the frunk of the Tesla in a decomposing state.
It’s not proven yet as to whether Burke has any correlation with the body that was found in his car, but as time goes on, more and more evidence is coming out. One of the most shocking pieces of evidence that has been released was the fact that Burke and Rivas were seen to have matching tattoos, which led fans and investigators to believe that the two of them had some connection with each other. Tattoos read “Shhh…” on the right index finger. Although they do have matching tattoo, a shared tattoo alone does not prove any criminal involvement or support the fact that these two were intimately involved.
Authorities are taking the action to look for security footage, communications, or any piece of evidence that might help support the fact that Burke and Celeste had ties with each other.
LAPD Captain Scot M. Williams states that the cause and manner of death has not yet been determined therefore it is unclear as to if there is criminal culpability beyond concealing the body. Investigators suspect that she might have been dead several weeks prior to being found.
Burke has yet to speak publicly about this situation and has recently cancelled the remains of his world tour. Celeste was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend and her death left a significant impact on her loved ones and the fans who once loved Burke. A GoFundMe was later established to help assist her family. To this day, evidence for this case still continues to come out and be shared with the public.
