As the school year comes to the end, many students are figuring out what they want to pursue as the next year comes especially for the senior student-athletes. The time into summer is coming and all the student-athletes are making their final decision on where to go and what they're wanting to proceed with as they go into high school.
Although some students can be unsure if they want to follow through with sports or if they want to pursue something more work related. Many are already planning to think about how they will continue to enjoy and participate in sports that they love.
Senior Cameron Broeckelmann committed to the University of Colorado Boulder to be a part of their dance team. She said “I’m so excited to be able to continue doing what I love.”
Senior Easton Viveros has committed to Florida International University to continue his journey with baseball and to keep enjoying the time he gets to play.
Senior Carter Hayden is heading to Macalester College to keep up with his journey of football.
As these seniors close the chapter on their high school careers, the transition to college athletics is going to require a new level of discipline, but these students are already equipped with the discipline they need. By being able to manage time and prioritizing their well-being, they can find a good way to handle their work for the classroom and the field. This new journey is not just about winning games, it’s about developing a character and spirit that will serve them well even after graduation. With the right mindset and balance of academics with sports, will grow a bridge to their own personal growth. These next years will be demanding, yet these young athletes are ready to prove that they’re capable of being able to perform at their highest level.
