Have you ever watched a softball game and wondered what goes on behind the fence? Well good thing we have a fantastic softball team. Last season our softball team had 23 wins and only 4 unfortunate losses. Behind all these wins, coach Mark leads this team with leadership, guidance, and control. He is working extremely hard with his new team to have an even better season then last year.

Coach Mark has 29 years of fantastic coaching, but only 15 great years at charter. Every year the new young talented athletes keep him coaching. His involvement is continued by new young talented athletes. To keep players motivated throughout their season, Coach Mark tries his best to uphold the charter standard for softball. Coach Mark says “ One of my goals this season is to win our last game, that is the most important.” How did Coach Mark get into coaching softball? According to Coach Mark he started coaching because of the difference coaching makes on athletes as well as the structure of the game. He values the impact he can have on his athletes.

Emma Ruiz,who is a freshman on our softball team say “ Coach Mark is very supportive and always be there for you when you need help if there is a problem.” This is showing coach Mark creates an safe,encouraging and fun environment for his athletes. Emma also says “Coach Mark makes a difference on the field by always being in charge in making decisions.” Coach Mark shows leadership and support on the field. He is a hard working coach who truly cares about his athletes.

The success of the softball team is remarkable, especially with their record of 23-4 last season. Coach Mark leads the team with leadership, guidance and control with 29 years of experience. I can’t wait to see what this season brings for our hard working athletes and softball coach.
