The long awaited date of March 6th has finally passed. Harry Style's highly anticipated album Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally has hit streaming. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it his fourth consecutive chart-topping album debut.
He also had the most vinyl purchases of 186,000 and is easily the largest starting sum of 2026. Styles has many variant colors depending on the store one purchases the album from. There's the classic black at most stores, but Target has an exclusive pop blue disc, and his website has the most options with kiss pink, smoke machine grey, and tomato red.
When writing his Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally album, Styles admitted that he was inspired by his time at clubs, leading to the "club-worthy beats" and "dirty electro-sleaze" feelings one gets when listening. Going through the album, the vibe of pop shifts between depressed pop with songs such as "Coming Up Roses" and "Paint By Numbers" to excited disco with "Ready, Steady, Go!" and "Dance No More". This shift shows Styles's creativeness by layering shimmering synths over heavy emotions of sadness and loneliness.
"This album is perfect for late-night drives under the stars with windows down and wind blowing through your hair", stated junior Tanvi Yadav. KISSCO, as fans refer to it, is viewed as a brave, experimental shift into moody, synth-driven dance music, with both high-energy moments and nostalgic pop, as well as vulnerable tracks. Junior Lily Bohan admitted that it wasn't a favorite at first, but with more listens, "it is slowly becoming a classic and an everyday reach-for album" in her collection.
Along with the release of the full album, "American Girls" became the second single and got its own music video. It followed "Aperture" and also went straight to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. The vibe of the music video was chaotic and action-packed with explosions and motorcycles, and had Styles portray an action star of the Hollywood world. Despite the upbeat and intense visuals, the video reflects how lonely the action star is by having a stunt double do all the work, aligning with the message of the lyrics being Styles watching all his friends find happiness in relationships while he is just "going" on.
Many fans from his One Direction era have made many comments about the song and music video paralleling those of 1D. The vibe of "unserious" in the "Kiss You" music video is very apparent in the "American Girls" music video with the obvious green screens and props, with Styles having similar frames and moments in both. The song's sound matches early 1D through nostalgia and captures a similar pop fantasy aesthetic, especially in the chorus.
With his new album, Styles's had a surprise one-off, epic showcase of his new album in Manchester, which was accessible to all as it was streamed on Netflix under the title of One Night in Manchester, premiering on March 8th. This concert was a preview to his upcoming "Together Together" world tour kicking off later this year in May. It featured multiple songs from Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, as well as many fan favorites such as "As It Was", "Watermelon Sugar", and "Sign of the Times". This event received much praise by viewers and critics, being widely considered as intimate, yet blockbuster.
With the exciting introduction of Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, fans have not been disappointed with this large step into the new direction of disco-inspired vibes. Many fans also enjoyed the sneak-peak of the upcoming tour from the Manchester show and are anticipating the fun night full of dancing, laughing, and crying that the performance will most likely bring.
