Evermore is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on December 11, 2020, through Republic Records, less than five months after Swift’s eighth studio album, Folklore.

Evermore is a curated masterpiece that implores tales of destiny, fate, and love. The songs carry a woodland earthy tone using drums and vocal range to disperse exceptional musical euphony.

The song’s plot line tells a tale of a woman named Este, who confronts her exploiting husband. She goes absent and the song’s narrator deduces she was murdered by his mistress. Without the body of the victim the husband cannot be tried for homicide. Este’s friend takes ethics into her own hands and kills the husband, deposit his body in a lake and frames the mistress.

Evermore parts from commercial over popularized pop music. Swift pens herself from admired artists like Super Bowl Halftime Performer The Weeknd. The Weeknd; notorious for singing about R rated activities. The Weekend’s satirized swagger is a stage act. No bond, pure commercialism and deficiently fabricated.
