Testing season has come upon coral springs charter school, and the students are feeling the heat more than ever. Although it is tough, students are powering through certain strategies to study and reset, so they are hundred percent during testing day and are maintaining a good mental state during these rigorous tests. This article will go over students’ perspectives on testing and how they are handling it.
“I have had a lot of tests this year, but I have been able to manage as I have reviewed through the year and a week prior, I brush up on content that I have had trouble with. I also make it a priority to reset and relax by hanging out with friends and family,” said junior Shane Borbet. This shows that through having a planned-out schedule, a good work ethic, and knowing when to detach and relax from studying, students can maintain a healthy balance during the chaos of testing.
“I like to prepare for these AICE Exams through doing AICE tests that students have done in prior years and reviewing the types of questions and the format these tests usually have. By doing this I have a good idea of what it’s going to be like and how to structure my response. Then the content is already drilled into my mind as the teachers have done a good job in the part,” said senior Noah Festa. Although having different study methods from student to student, these students have found what is effective for them and have learned how to use it prior to big tests.
“I have been doing prep sessions with teachers and study sessions with my friends.” Said sophomore Christopher Dugar. Through seeing the ideas of different people, and different perspectives, many learn more effectively and are able to remember better then just reviewing information alone.
All in all, we have effectively been studying for exams this year. Through different ways of studying and tricks to relax, they have been keeping sustainable balance this testing season. Although each method varies, each method is fit for each student's needs and they way they learn and retain information.
